James "Jim" Robert Knipp, Sr.

PENSACOLA, FL: James (Jim) Robert Knipp, Sr., 56, of Pensacola, FL, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2010.
Jim was born in Olive Hill, KY on July 29, 1953. He graduated from Tennessee Temple University in 1976 with a BA in Divinity. He served as pastor of Community Baptist Church in Mt. Gilead, OH, and also pastored at Walnut Avenue Baptist Church in Ensley, FL. Before his illness, he owned and operated Nipp's Tree Service. He was a member of Olive Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School.
His brother, Barry Lee Knipp; mother, Mary L. (Gilliam) Knipp; and his father, the Reverend James F. Knipp preceded him in death.
Survivors include his loving wife, Linda; four children, James Knipp, Jr. of Columbus, OH, Tamara Barge of Pensacola, Ryan Knipp of Delaware, OH, Daniel Knipp of Pensacola; three stepchildren, Teri Langendoerfer of Honesdale, PA, Aaron Smith of Pensacola and Jennifer Wilson of Tallahassee, FL; thirteen grandchildren; a brother, David Knipp of Lucas, OH; and five sisters, Fran Thomas of Sadona, AZ, Kathy Knipp of Satsuma, FL, Nora Knipp, Teresa Mink and Mary Kissell of Mansfield, OH.
Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. -10:00 a.m. Monday, January 18, 2010 at Barkdull Funeral Home, 33 N. Gamble St., Shelby, OH 44875 with services beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
Honorary Pallbearers will be James Knipp, Jr., Ryan Knipp, Daniel Knipp and Aaron Smith.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice, 5041 N. 12th Ave., Pensacola, FL 32504.
Barkdull Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
FRANCES LUELLA BAYNE ASBURY

Frances Luella Bayne Asbury, beloved wife for 61 years of Rev. Claud Logan Asbury, went to be with her Lord and Savior November 3, 2009. Born in LaFayette, Georgia on June 27, 1929, Frances was a daughter of Rev. William Millard Bayne and Rosa Bryant Bayne. She was predeceased by her parents, a brother, William Eugene Bayne, a sister, Charlotte Marshall, and a son, Jimmy Wallace Asbury.
Frances was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She leaves to treasure her memory in addition to her husband, her children, Barry Asbury of Parkville, MD, Brenda Head (Michael) of Wilmington, NC, Bill Asbury (Debbie) of Fallston, MD, Barbara Breden (Les) of Ellicott City, MD and her grandchildren Heather, Melanie, Jenn and Kati Asbury, Chris and Alison Breden and Meredith Head.
Visitation for family and friends was held from 6 to 8 pm, Thursday, November 5, 2009 at Slack Funeral Home, Ellicott City, MD.
Funeral services were held to celebrate Frances' life on Friday, November 6, 2009. at 1:00 pm at Bethany Lane Baptist Church, Ellicott City, MD with Rev. Kip Smith officiating. Interment was in the Druid Ridge Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.slackfuneralhome.com.
