Deaf Studies

Tennessee Temple University is highly reputed for its programs in American Sign Language interpreting and deaf studies. Our deaf studies program equips psychology students to minister to an almost unreached people group: the American deaf community. Deaf studies graduates will be prepared to minister to the American deaf through counseling and communication; graduates will also leave with a foundational understanding of American Sign Language, which they will be prepared to study further in graduate school.
