The Basics of Financial Aid

1. How do I apply for financial aid?

Applying for financial aid is simple; just fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Our FAFSA school code is 003524.

2. How much financial aid might I qualify for?

Over $2.8 million was awarded to Tennessee Temple students in 2005-2006 and the average student received approximately $8,200 in financial aid. When you factor in financial aid with our low cost, Tennessee Temple is an excellent value.

3. What types of financial aid are available?

Normally, financial aid consists of several individual awards such as scholarships, grants and loans. Combined together, individual awards make up a "financial aid package" tailored to your situation and designed to help you meet your educational expenses.

4. When should I start the financial aid process?

The FAFSA should be filled out as soon as possible after January 1st of each year. The earlier you apply the more aid you might receive.

Financial Aid Application Process for New and Returning Students

  1. Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Our FAFSA school code is 003524.
  2.  Submit the TTU Financial Aid Application online.
  3.  Sign and return your Financial Aid Award Letter once you have received it.
  4.  Student Loans (if applicable). Complete entrance counseling and MPN online (after Fin. Aid Award Letter is received).
