“Girls leadership academy expands to tn temple CAMPUS”

Tennessee Temple University welcomes the expansion of the Girls Leadership

Academy to its campus. The Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy is a single gender, small learning community for girls in grades 6-12. The college preparation curriculum is centered on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). With an extended day and a year round calendar, CGLA offers academically underperforming girls an accelerated and integrated remediation approach that is intended to move them to proficient and advanced levels within core academic subjects. A range of social supports that reflects girls' social development needs are integrated into the educational experience. CGLA’s official first day of school will be August 10th in the building formally occupied by Tennessee Temple Academy which closed early spring due to low enrollment and financial shortfalls. School officials at both institutions have been working very vigorously for several months in making this transition as smooth as possible.

However, growth and expansion is nothing new for Tennessee Temple University. Under the vision of former President Dr. Danny Lovett. For more information on Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy please visit their website at http://cglaonline.com/.
