Ministry in Manila and Call to Cambodia

 

 

Dear Christian Friend(s),

I am pleased to announce that our Filipino friends at the ARC (Alabang Resource Center) in Manila, the Philippines, have asked me to return for yet another "Ministry in Manila," the Philippines; again for two weeks [November 10-27, 2011], one week for each of two sites (Manila and Palawan), teaching courses and preaching in the churches!

The willingness and desire go continues but, like most mission endeavors, prayer and financial support are needed, and quickly! As with the past two years, this is to facilitate the Alabang Resource Center Advanced Studies Program (ARC-ASP), a Filipino ministry loosely affiliated with ABWE (Assoc. of Baptists for World Evangelism), located in south Manila and on the island of Palawan, the Philippines. The Filipino pastors are desperate for this type of advanced training; the need remains urgent and time is short!

But there is more! Impact Youth Worldwide has also asked that I come to teach for two weeks at the Cambodia-Highlands, located in Koh Kong Province! This is a Cambodian Bible and leadership institute, one that has sprung up as an extension ministry of the Highlands Youth Camp, a ministry of necessity preserving / developing the fruitful results and conversions occurring at the camp while at the same time helping with pastoral training throughout the region! The scheduled dates for this ministry are December 28, 2011 - January 16, 2012!

Prudent planning and serious stewardship have marked the last two years’ related fund-raising efforts, and the same continues this year. Each of these ministry opportunities will run $2,500.00 to cover flights and personal expenses ($5,000.00 total), and is needed as soon as possible to insure timely, frugal purchase of plane tickets (by mid-October is optimum). Any excess giving, should there be any, will be immediately set aside for the similar global ministry and missions opportunities forthcoming (hopefully and eventually, two annually as God directs).

Ministry opportunities in the Philippines these last two years and the incredible results occurring at the Highlands-Cambodia World Youth Impact Camp make the need for this ministry all the more pressing and needed.
