Grateful for a Partnership with Woodland Park Baptist Church
A Message from the President:
We are grateful to the Woodland Park Baptist Church for the wonderful affirmation of a partnership with Tennessee Temple University. The final tally of the congregational vote was over 90 percent yes. This percentage is a remarkable statement of support given the scope and complexity of having a university locate on the church site. As we have prayerfully sought God’s direction, it has been a blessing to work with the leadership of the church over the past few months. I appreciate so much their willingness to take this bold step of faith, trusting God for great things as we embrace the exciting possibilities that we believe He has set before us. As I have learned more about WPBC and its ministries, I have grown more excited about what lies ahead. Our hearts are bound together in a common mission of seeing the incredible grace of God transform lives for His glory.
Now we are moving forward and many things are falling into place. In working through the logistics of the final zoning approval, the selling of our remaining property, and the securing of financing and gifts to make this move a reality, we are placing everything in God’s hands. Our theme verse has been and will continue to be Joshua 3:5. Joshua declared to Israel, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.” We believe that our tomorrow has come. We believe that this new partnership is the crossing of our river Jordan. Just as the walls of Jericho came down and the sun stood still, we know there is nothing that God will not do to give us success in the mission He has given us. We give to Him all of the praise for all that He has done and will do in the coming days.blog comments powered by Disqus
