A Special Word From the President
Tennessee Temple University would like to express its deepest sympathy to the family of Captain Jeffrey (Jeff) Francis, who passed away on February 20, 2013 at the age of 54. Captain Francis was a 28 year veteran of the Chattanooga Police Department but also worked in many capacities on the campus of TTU, his alma mater. He had served as the dean of men, the director of security, and more recently as an adjunct instructor in day hiking, canoeing, and in women’s self-defense classes. He was often present at athletic events, using his photographic skills to provide many action photos enjoyed by the TTU family. There are countless heartfelt memories of the investment that he and Gail made in the lives of TTU students, including providing their house as a home away from home.
Captain Francis is survived by his wife Gail, who is a full-time faculty member at TTU, and their four children and five grandchildren. Please remember the family in your prayers as we ask that God may give them the special comfort that as Jeff is now present with the Lord, the Lord will be present with them.blog comments powered by Disqus
