Payment Policies
Acceptance of Agreement
This Payment Policy is a contract between you and Tennessee Temple University and applies to your use of services and any related products and services. Accepting services from Tennessee Temple University and subsidiaries indicate affirmative acceptance of contained terms. By clicking "I Agree", "I Accept," or by enrolling in courses and other services, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Policy.
Definitions
In this Policy, "you", "your", "student" means any person using the services. "Tennessee Temple University", "we", "our", or "us" will refer collectively to Tennessee Temple University, its subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, and contractors.
"Payment" refers to cash, check, money order, cashier's check, certified check, MasterCard, Visa, Discover Card, or the following methods listed below:
1. Third Party Billings (sponsor pays all or part of the student's charges), such as Voc/Rehab or Employer Tuition Reimbursement
2. Students who are enrolled in Tuition Management Systems, a University-approved installment payment program
3. Financial Aid (applied or pending)
User Responsibilities
You agree to provide true, accurate, and complete registration information and to maintain and promptly update your information as applicable. You agree not to impersonate any other person or use a name that you are not authorized to use. If any information you provide is untrue, inaccurate, not current, or incomplete, without limiting other remedies, Tennessee Temple University has the right to terminate your use of the services and to recover from you any costs or losses incurred as a direct or indirect result of the inaccurate or incomplete information. Additionally, you agree to use your Tennessee Temple University provided e-mail address as a primary method of communication.
Charges and Billings
You agree to make all payments associated with the services, including, but not limited to tuition, room and board, registration fees, lab fees, and any other fees associated with the services. It is Tennessee Temple University's policy that all charges for a semester are due and payment is due at the time of registration.
How We Bill You. Tuition, fees, and charges are incurred at the time of registration for each corresponding semester. You may be billed for services individually after they have been provided to you. We may send billing statements in the mail, fax, e-mail, or other communication permitted by applicable law.
Payment by Credit Card. If you use a credit card to pay for the services, that use is governed by the card issuer agreement for that card, and you must refer to that agreement for your rights and liabilities as a cardholder. If Tennessee Temple University does not receive payment from your credit card issuer or its agents, you agree to pay all amounts due upon demand.
Payments by Checks or Money Order. If you make a payment by check, you authorize Tennessee Temple University to collect your check electronically or otherwise. Checks and money orders should be made payable to Tennessee Temple University for the exact amount of the tuition, fees, and charges. You agree that you may not amend or modify this Policy with any restrictive endorsements (such as "paid in full"), releases, or other statements on or accompanying checks or other payments accepted by Tennessee Temple University and that any such notations shall have no legal effect. In the event that a check rendered as payment is returned by the bank unpaid, for any reason, the privilege of using a personal check as payment to the University will be immediately revoked. An invalid check does not constitute an official withdrawal from the University, and the student remains liable to Tennessee Temple University for payment of all incurred charges.
Tuition Management Systems. When you enroll in a Tuition Management Systems installment program, you agree to pay the installment payments provided within the installment program. If your Tuition Management Systems account becomes delinquent, we may require immediate payment of all tuition, fees, and charges. Tuition Management Systems is an independently owned company. If you enroll in a Tuition Management Systems account, you agree to Tuition Management Terms and Policies. Tuition Management Systems is not affiliated with Tennessee Temple University and cannot create legally binding contracts between you and Tennessee Temple University.
Payments by Third-Parties. In the event that agreements for payments by third-parties are not received, you become responsible for fulfilling all financial obligations to Tennessee Temple University. For example, failure to comply with Veteran Affairs policies may cause you lose reimbursement privileges.
Our Remedies if You Pay Late or Fail to Pay. Tennessee Temple University will pursue collection of all outstanding balances. In the event that your account is sent to a collection agency or attorney, you agree to pay all costs of collection. These costs include but are not limited to any collection agency's fees, attorneys' fees, and arbitration or court costs. Additionally, grades, transcripts, and degrees may be held if all balances have not been paid.
Errors. In the event that you discover accounting, it is your responsibility to notify Tennessee Temple University within 7 days. Tennessee Temple University retroactively bills when accounting errors are identified.
Promotions and Discounts
Unless otherwise noted, promotions and discounts rules and regulations are as follows. Promotions and discounts are subject to availability and/or a limited timeframe. Promotions and discounts may be not be used in conjunction with any other promotions and discounts.
Requirements. To receive Promotions and Discounts, payment must be made according to Tennessee Temple University guidelines. Any additional stated requirement by the Promotion or Discount must also be met. If at any time, the requirements are not upheld or are revoked, Promotions and Discounts will be reversed. Tennessee Temple University shall not be liable to any student for any financial loss arising out of the refusal, cancellation, or withdrawal of a Promotion or Discount.
Center for Ministry Training. Unless otherwise noted, Center for Ministry Training students do not qualify for any additional promotions and discounts.
Refund Requests
If you request a Refund of excess Financial Aid on your account, you agree that you may owe all or a portion of cash disbursements back to the federal programs if you are suspended, reduce course load, withdraw from Tennessee Temple University, drop out, or spend any of the disbursement for expenses not related to your education. It is your responsibility to ensure that Refunds issued to you are accurate. In the event that we send a Refund in error or contains erroneous information, and those funds are used, charges may be placed on your account accordingly. Changes
Subject to applicable law, we have the right to change our Services, tuition, fees, or charges, at any time with or without notice. We also may rearrange, delete, add to or otherwise change courses. If we do give you notice, it may be provided in a mailing statement, a bill insert, on our website, over-the-phone, e-mail, or other communication permitted under applicable law.
