Academic Experience

• Served as Liberty University President, 1997- 2004. President Emeritus.
• Served as SACS COC consultant, Liberty University President, 1997 and 2005.
• Served as consultant, Provost, President, Luther Rice University.
• Served on and chaired visiting committees and special committees for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Colleges, (SACS). Over 70 committees. Served on Criteria and Reports Committee.
• Serves on NCAA Evaluation Committee.
• Serves on and chairs visiting committees for the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS). Currently a TRACS Commissioner and Chair of the Commission.
• Serves as a consultant for institutions seeking and maintaining accreditation. Over 20 institutions.
• Consults with institutions regarding planning, assessment, financial management student aid, and strategic planning.
• Served as a tenured faculty member in the Georgia State University (GSU), College of Business Administration. Taught undergraduate and graduate classes, including the capstone course on policy and Strategic Planning.
• Served on two SACS COC Steering Committees for GSU.

Professional Experience

• Served as Comptroller, Associate VP, and Acting VP for Financial Affairs at Georgia State University. Associate VP Emeritus.
• Guest speaker, facilitator, instructor, including graduation speaker, for various organizations.
• Served as Instructor for the U.S. Government.
• One of the founders and Board member of a bank and a HMO. Served as a board member of two different HMOs.
• Served as CEO and board member of several for-profit organizations as well as a credit union and an investment company.
• One of the founders and a former chairperson of a non-profit foundation that funds health related projects. Current a Board member and officer of the Foundation.
• Co-Founder of a Christian institution of higher learning.
• Investment Advisor Representative (securities). Series 7 and 66.
• Licensed in GA for Insurance, including life, accident, sickness, and variable products.
