Tennessee Temple President to Appear on News 12 Morning Show

 Chattanooga, TN June 24th, 2010:

Five years ago when Dr. Danny Lovett took the helm of Tennessee Temple University, enrollment was down substantially and the school had dropped its music major. Now fast forward to 2010. Enrollment is up in the now four year old online learning program, a campus redevelopment project is on the horizon, the university now receives HOPE scholarships as an accredited institution and the school is consistently operating in the black. When asked how all this was accomplished, Lovett the energetic Baptist preacher responded by saying, “It’s nothing but the Grace of God who has afforded us this opportunity to educate the best and the brightest while encouraging them to grow in their faith. God is not done with Tennessee Temple, and the best is yet to come! ” Dr. Lovett will share the success of TN Temple’s renaissance journey with WDEF News 12 morning anchor Rachel Oesch on Thursday June 24th at 6 am. Prior to his role as the seventh president at Temple, Dr. Danny Lovett was the former dean and vice president at Liberty University. He was also the pastor at Open Door Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa, Alabama where he increased its membership from 40 to over 1200 and broadened its influence in the community through the television ministry.
